There are often many ways to complete a morph. Your job is to use the fewest words, while keeping them as long as possible.

How do the scores work?

Your goal is to minimize the word count and maximize the letter count. Since longer words tend to have fewer 1-letter "neighbors" in the dictionary, they're typically harder to think of, and harder to modify. Thus, a more creative & robust vocabulary will be rewarded.

It's fine to use the "shrink and rebuild" method if you get stuck (it may even be the shortest path), but always go back and look for ways to increase the letter count. Add or change letters first, when possible. Scores are compared in real time with all players globally. If your score is red, your solution needs work. If it's orange, you used one word too many. Yellow, your word count is perfect, but you need to increase the total letters. Green means you tied the current best solution. And if you see BLUE, congrats! You set a new world record. Archived scores will change color when someone else does even better. Good luck, and happy vocabulating!

        Today's Sunday Challenge is a Camogram. The hidden target will complete a common phrase or term. The number in the input field represents the differences between your current word and the target.
        Today's Sunday Challenge is a Camogram. As with all puzzles, it will be a common term or phrase. To help steer you in the right direction, a number representing the "distance" to the hidden target is provided.
        "Distance" refers strictly to letter differences. It does not consider whether the changes make valid words. For example, the literal distance between shoe and box is 3 (s, h->b, e->x), but since 'shox', 'hox', and 'sboe' are not words, it will actually take at least 4 steps to convert. Still, you can use the number to glean valuable information about the target as you make changes. If it decreases, you're getting warmer!

        It's a Camogram (the target is hidden). You'll have to guess the phrase and start changing letters. Pay close attention to the number on the right, which represents the current "distance" to the target word.

        IMPORTANT: "Distance" refers to literal (letter) changes; it does not consider whether a change would make a valid word. Use the distance value to figure out which letters are (or are not) in the target word.

        This puzzle is a Zygogram, which is made entirely of compound words. Instead of changing letters, you're dealing with word stems. Add, change, or remove any stem, as long as it's 3 letters or more, and the remaining word has at least two valid word stems.

        IMPORTANT: "Accidental" compounds are allowed! Example: "manage", which can be converted to package, mankind, micromanage, manageable, etc.

        ALSO: Some compounds have multiple sets of stems (hyper•tension & hyper•tens•ion, or sea•son•ally & season•ally). Time to put your thin•king cap on!
